Each of our four main stations has a supporting Station Group, helping maintain and improve the standard of its station, whilst ensuring the heritage aspects are recognised, respected and promoted. This includes painting, gardening, and building work. The Station Groups also play a key role in the organisation and staffing of the annual programme of Special Events.

• Pickering Station Group usually meet on a Tuesday and Wednesday.
• Levisham Station Group is currently looked after by the Junior Volunteer, Lineside and Estates Teams, with support from other groups. 
• Goathland Station Group. Led by John Bruce. 
• Grosmont Station Group usually meet on a Monday and Thursday. Led by Peter Robinson. 
• Whitby Station Adoption Group.

Volunteering Commitment:

• Attend Induction Course. 
• Commit to attending on average at least two occasions per month or equivalent throughout the season.
• A reasonable level of health and fitness is required.
