Our Work #LoveYourRailway 2021: Love Your Railway: #Education At the North Yorkshire Moors Railway #education is paramount in everything we do, from our station tours and walks for schools, to teaching our visitors about the history of the line – we aim to tell the story of the Whitby to Pickering Railway. Visitors can travel through 18 miles of the North York Moors National Park and explore our four-period stations along the way and learn how the railways transformed the lives of those who lived there. Every visitor that travels on the railway helps preserve one of the world's greatest railway experiences. ‘Love Your Railway’ is a six-week summer campaign from July 26th to September 5th, which aims to shine a spotlight on, not only the important work heritage railways do with regards to conservation, education and research, but also highlight how they have all been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in terms of reduced capacities and income. How to #LoveYourRailway Help to support the North Yorkshire Moors Railway as we come out of the pandemic by buying tickets to visit our heritage line, attend one of our Special Events or become a Member.
