The York Area Group Recycling Ends

The York Area Group, a registered charity (1073653) which fundraises for the North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR), will close its doors after 40 years of raising funds through recycling paper and aluminium products.Read more

NYMR secures National Lottery support

The North Yorkshire Moors Railway has been awarded £4.6M by the National Lottery. This funding will go towards NYMR’s Yorkshire’s Magnificent Journey, a £9.2M Sustainability Project aimed at securing the future of the railway.Read more

Steam in to a fantastic weekend

Heartbreak after vandals attack heritage railway carriages
