The North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR) are pleased to announce that they have appointed a new finance director. Garry Mumford brings a wealth of experience from across many fields but most importantly directly from the heritage railway world as the current Chief Financial Officer of the Talyllyn Railway; Garry is also Managing Director of Insight Associates a financial services business which he founded in 1992.

Chris Price, NYMR General Manager said “The railway is delighted to have Garry in the team, on a personal note it will be great to work closely with someone I last worked alongside at the Talyllyn. Garry will bring the experience we need to overhaul the railways financial function whilst also guiding the railways financial strategy.”

Garry takes up his role officially from the start of April but has already been attending meetings.

North Yorkshire Moors Railway is one of the most historic lines in the North of England, taking visitors on picturesque journeys along an 18-mile railway line aboard steam and heritage diesel trains.
