We are very pleased to announce the winners of our Official 2021 NYMR Photo Calendar and we are excited to let you know that the calendar is now available to purchase from our online shop with proceeds going towards the NYMR’s Crisis Appeal.

Earlier this year we held a photography competition for stunning images featuring the NYMR and we were amazed by the response we received from ardent railway photographers to enthusiastic amateurs. The judges managed to select their top twelve photographs for each month of the calendar. The cover image, taken by Jenna Thomas, shows a fantastic image of SR Class V Schools ‘Repton’ No. 926 with an apt picture of 'The Optimist' preparing to depart from Goathland.

Each photographer who has an image in the calendar will receive a complimentary copy.

The railway’s Crisis Appeal launched in March 2020 in response to the impact of Coronavirus. Being unable to operate, meant that the registered charity had to reach out to the general public for financial support and through a mixture of silent auctions, a virtual shop, online quizzes and generous donations a hugely significant amount of money has now been raised to help the heritage attraction steam on into the future.

The calendar is Priced at £9.95 (+P&P) and is available to buy online of from our station shops when you next visit. All proceeds raised from the sales of the calendars being donated to the NYMR’s Crisis Appeal, helping to support our charitable trust so we can continue welcoming over 300,000 passengers each year!
