Visit What's On Goods Train Demonstration Come along and experience the sights and sounds of a 1950s Goods Train whilst enjoying refreshments from the Tea Rooms along our heritage line, first date for 2024 is Sunday 28 April. The NYMR’s Goods Train will operate between Grosmont and will run to Goathland and back before working the full 18-mile stretch to Pickering and back to Grosmont: 1105-1120 Grosmont to Goathland 1205-1220 Goathland to Grosmont 1330-1445 Grosmont to Pickering 1500-1605 Pickering to Grosmont Volunteers from the NYMR Wagon Group will be on hand to chat about the stock and answer any queries you might have, you are also welcome to take photographs and share with our social media pages. Further scheduled dates are: 26 May, 30 June, 14 July, 28 July, 11 August, 25 August, 15 September and 27 October 2024. Please note that these services do not carry passengers and may be operated by either steam engines or diesel locomotives, depending on availability on the day.
