The Moorlander Lunch Services depart at 12:30pm from Grosmont Station on running dates between Monday and Saturday and depart at 13.30pm on a Sunday, travelling on a return journey through the picturesque North York Moors.


  • Homemade vegetable soup topped with cream and fresh chopped chives
  • Oak smoked salmon and prawn parcels served on a bed of lamb’s lettuce with lemon wedge and mayonnaise
  • Fresh seasonal melon served with red berries and a Cointreau and soft fruit coulis
  • Marinated Chicken Tikka served on a julienne of red and white cabbage, red onion and tomato, accompanied with a cool mint and yogurt dressing

Warm bread rolls will accompany your choice of starter

Main Course

  • Roast Topside of beef served with Yorkshire pudding, onion gravy and horseradish sauce
  • Freshly baked chicken, ham and leek pie with a short crust top, accompanied with onion gravy and fresh watercress
  • Steamed fillet of salmon served with a warm butter sauce with chopped parsley and capers
  • Cold roast sirloin of beef served with a seasonal salad and hot potatoes
  • Vegetarian shepherd’s pie topped with sweet potato mash, cheddar cheese and chopped chives

Seasonal fresh vegetables and potatoes will accompany your choice of Main Course


  • Fresh fruit crumble served with custard
  • Traditional lemon meringue pie served red berries and cream
  • Brandy Snap Basket filled with poached cinnamon pears, chocolate brownie, whipped cream and drizzled with a dark chocolate sauce
  • A selection of Yorkshire cheeses served with crackers, digestives, celery and fruit chutney

Freshly brewed Yorkshire tea or coffee served with chocolate mints and truffles

Moorlander Lunch costs Adult £65.00 and Child £52.00 per person. Limited Availability. Services running from February - November 2018, lasting 2hrs 45mins.
