The Moorlander Lunch Service will depart from Grosmont at 12:30pm (13:30pm during silver timetable), travelling through the picturesque North York Moors.

Starter

  1. Homemade cream of tomato and basil soup topped with whipped cream and fresh chopped chives
  2. Fresh fruit platter including slices of fresh chilled melon, peaches, kiwi fruit and strawberries drizzled with a fruit coulis laced with raspberry liqueur
  3. Prawn salad, Greenland prawns served on a bed of mixed leaves with seafood sauce and lemon
  4. Coronation Chicken, diced chicken breast bound with a korma spice, sweet chilli mayonnaise, sultanas and fresh apple served on a bed of lambs lettuce

Warm bread rolls will accompany your choice of starter

Main Course

  • Traditional and local roast Yorkshire beef served with homemade Yorkshire pudding, onion gravy, topped with watercress
  • Roast breast of chicken served with sausage and bacon roll, bread sauce and a red wine and onion gravy
  • Baked gammon steak served with fresh pineapple and honey glaze
  • Mushroom Stroganoff (Vegetarian). Traditional stroganoff recipe made with paprika, brandy and shallots topped with soured cream and pea shoots

Seasonal fresh vegetables and potatoes will accompany your choice of Main Course

Dessert

  1. Homemade “whole” apple pie oozing with white chocolate served with a toffee cream
  2. Dark chocolate delice served with slices of orange topped with fresh cream and candied orange
  3. Creamy vanilla cheesecake served with mangos and whipped cream
  4. Traditional Cheese Board including a choice of three of the most popular Yorkshire cheeses, accompanied with a selection of crackers, celery sticks and grapes

Fresh brewed Yorkshire Tea or coffee served with luxury truffles and chocolate mints

Moorlander Lunch costs Adult £65.00 and Child £52.00 per person. Limited Availability. All Departures are from Grosmont Station at 12:30pm (13:30pm during silver timetable ), lasting 2hrs 45mins.
