The North Yorkshire Moors Railway is appealing to all 60s car owners and stall holders to come and take part in our new and improved 60s Fest event. The railway is looking for any 60s car owners, traders and exhibitors to take part on July 22nd and 23rd to come and display along the line.

60s Fest will showcase everything sixties including music, fashion and of course locomotives. Pickering station will be rocking all weekend as it’s hosting a pop pirate radio show as well as performances by 'Beatles for Sale' tribute band and Motown band 'Shade of the 60s'. Passengers will be able to head back in time and visit Levisham station, which will be renamed ELVISham where passengers will be able to enjoy an Elvis impersonator performing the King’s greatest hits! Both Goathland and Grosmont stations will be decked out in individual sixties style, with a beer tent and live music from ‘Tex Leon & Friends’ and ‘Jive Express’ at Goathland and an “old and new" mini display at Grosmont.

If you are interested in exhibiting whether it is a 1960s tractor, Cadillac, hairdresser or food exhibitor we want you to take part. You can find out more information at

Chris Price, General Manager at North Yorkshire Moors Railway, said: “Our sixties fest just gets better every year and it’s always an event we look forward to. The stations take to the era really well, and visitors of all ages have a blast during the popular weekend. I personally love the live-music most, and this year we’ve got a real treat in store for our guests with our live performances. We can’t wait!”
