Would you like to know more?

Would you like to know more, explore the Collection, ask a question?

The Museum Collection pages are still in development and will continue to evolve as more research is undertaken and projects conclude.

Having explored the Museum Collection pages, if there is something you would like to find out more about or if you have a particular topic you are interested in and which one of our Team may be able to research, or, if you want to research something yourself, drop an email to [email protected] and we will try to help.

If you wish to visit the Archive to research a topic, we ask that you make an appointment and let us know the topic/materials/records you are interested in so that we can see what we have in the Collection which may be useful. We don’t make a charge for research visits but if you require copies of any papers, there may be a small charge. We are a Team of volunteers and passionate about caring for and preserving the history of the NYMR and railways in the North Eastern area.

If you are considering donating an object or objects to the NYMRT for the Collection, please use the contact form in the first instance so that we can advise if the item(s) are likely to be relevant to the Collection. Make a Donation (pdf) to the collection.

Equally, if you would like to make a donation to the NYMR to support its work and continued development, that would be much appreciated.
