The Archival Collection

The Archival Collection is a wide ranging and diverse assembly of material. The Archive stores important historical records of the NYMRT and its predecessor bodies from the time preservation of the line commenced through to the present day.

The Archival Collection includes:

•    Artwork – paintings, prints, artwork
•    Books, booklets which cover former NER area or rolling stock in the Collection; Railway Magazine; Moors Line
•    Maps, plans and drawings – Maps including OS;  Plans - including architects plans; station layouts; junctions; lines and sidings;  Drawings - of buildings; operational (track, S&T); rolling stock; signal boxes; station buildings; lineside buildings
•    Media – DVDs/filming/audio
•    Memorabilia - Model railway items, old and contemporary where relevant to NYMR; souvenirs 
•    Small objects such as badges, buttons, wagon plates, bags, equipment old and new
•    Newspaper cuttings
•    People/genealogy/stories
•    Photographs including digital images and slides
•    Postcards
•    Posters
•    Railway records
•    Stamps
•    Tickets
•    Timetables and publicity materials

Over time, articles/blogs are being produced focussing on specific objects or parts of the Collection.
