Museum Shop Sunday

We are delighted to announce we'll be taking part in Museum Shop Sunday on 30th November, with offers and discounts on some great gift ideas just in time for Christmas.

Every year on Museum Shop Sunday over 2,200 arts, heritage and cultural attractions worldwide come together to showcase their fantastic shops and unique products with special events and promotions in store and online.

Shopping with purpose

Museum Shop Sunday is all about shopping with purpose and reminding visitors that it’s not just buying a gift, but actively contributing to the work of the museum and maintaining collections for future generations to enjoy. 

This Museum Shop Sunday you can visit Pickering Station Shop to stock up on mementos for yourself or gifts for the rail enthusiast in your life. Browse the collections that include books by local authors, homeware, apparel, and gift cards.

The gift shop also features an exclusive homeware range, designed by Whitby-based artist Jess Hogarth inspired by the nostalgic charm of NYMR. Her beautifully illustrated collection features iconic steam engines, scenic stations, and rolling countryside.

Unique Gifts

Other unique finds include pewter jewellery, keyrings, and key fobs, and a range of baubles, jigsaws, cards, and badges dedicated to the local legend No. 75029 The Green Knight, with money from the purchases supporting the restoration of the locomotive.

For in person browsing and shopping, both the Station Shop and Emporium at Pickering will be open from 9:00 am to 4:15 pm and the online shop is always open for orders that can be posted anywhere in the UK.
