The five jumpers from the Bridge 42 Bungee Crew.

Bridge 42 Fundraising Bungee Jump

We did it!

On 6 October, our jumpers took the leap from Larpool Viaduct to raise money for the Bridge 42 appeal. Watch the moment they went over the edge below.

A huge congratulations to every one of our jumpers (Brandon, Chris, Kurt, Pete and Simon). It took real nerve to step off that viaduct, and we’re incredibly proud of each of you.

We’d also like to say a massive thank you to the UK Bungee Club. Their support, expertise, and patience made the day possible, and we couldn’t have done it without them.

There’s still time to donate

The donation link is still open. If you think our jumpers rose to the challenge, please show your support with a donation to this vital appeal. Every pound helps.

Bridge 42 carries around 10,000 locomotive movements a year and has stood proudly over the Murk Esk since the 1800s. After 180 years of service, it needs vital repairs this winter to keep every train on our line running safely.

We process payments through Zeffy, a fundraising platform that charges charities no setup or processing fees. Instead, these costs are covered by generous donors like you, through an optional payment processing tip at checkout.

Thank you for backing our jumpers. Your support means the world to every one of them, and to the future of Bridge 42.
