Experience the workhorses of Britain’s railways with a return journey in a cab of a heritage diesel locomotive. Travel between Pickering and Grosmont (36 miles) with our experienced crews and see Yorkshire’s amazing scenery as you traverse the North York Moors National Park.

• 36-mile (18-mile in each direction) cab ride on a diesel locomotive.
• Souvenir Certificate signed by your driver.
• Your journey will help support the North Yorkshire Moors Railway Trust.

The course operates on various dates through the year. During the Yellow Timetable the service starts at 13:05 from Pickering (return departs Grosmont at 15.40) and during the Blue Timetable (Sundays) the service starts at 14:30 from Grosmont (return departs Pickering at 16.00).

Please note:

• If you are a purchasing a Diesel Experience as a gift and do not know the recipients details, please purchase a Gift Voucher for the correct amount so that the participant can complete their personal details.
• All courses are available for physically fit participants aged 16 years plus.
• A confidential Medical Questionnaire and Briefing Document must be completed at least 10 days ahead of your booked visit date, details and questionnaire link will be in your Booking Confirmation email.
• Please ensure that you arrive at Customer Services (Pickering Departures) or Station Shop (Grosmont Departures) at least 45 minutes before service is due to depart.
