We are looking to recruit seasonal paid staff on the Pullman dining train for the 2019/20 season, based at Grosmont Station, near Whitby. Various hours and days available based on the services being run and include weekends and some evenings from March 2019 through to January 2020.

Previous experience in the hospitality and service industry is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.

Duties Include:

  • Serving passengers on the Pullman train as it travels along the line with a combination of silver service and plated service meals.
  • Setting and clearing tables and assisting with washing up.
  • Dispensing drinks to passengers from the bar and preparing bills for payment along with loading stock, washing glasses and cleaning bar counters.
  • Assisting with the preparation of starters, desserts and washing up.
  • Working as part of a team of up to 13 on each of the services operated.

Requirements of post holder:

  • A recent Food Hygiene certificate is preferable or be prepared to partake in training to gain the certificate.
  • Good communication and customer service skills, enthusiastic and being a team player.
  • Experience within a catering / dining / kitchen environment is welcomed.
