The Following Seasonal Vacancies are available at Pickering & Grosmont Tea Rooms:

Be part of this award-winning heritage railway and work in one of our busy tearooms, providing excellent service to our 350,000 travellers and support to our 700 volunteers. The main season runs from End March – Early November with additional hours available during the winter months when the trains are running.

Duties Include:

  • To serve customers and staff at the till in a pleasant & friendly manner.
  • To assist in the preparation and service of food & beverages.
  • To clear & wipe the tables and keep the tearoom clean and well stocked.
  • To operate the dishwasher and hand wash pots where necessary.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the premises.

Requirements of post holder:

  • A recent level 2 Food Hygiene certificate is preferable, or alternatively be prepared to partake in training to gain a certificate.
  • Good skills of customer service and care.
  • Experience within a catering/kitchen environment is preferable.
  • The ability to work as part of a team.

Flexible approach to work & hours, weekend and bank holidays are standard working days.
