Paid Seasonal Vacancies - Commercial Services Commercial Services Department The Commercial Services department are looking to recruit seasonal paid staff for our 2017/18 operating season in the following areas:- Pullman Dining Train Previous experience in the hospitality and service industry is preferred but not essential as training can be provided for all posts. The catering and dining posts will require you to partake in a food hygiene training course as part of good practice within NYMR. If you have the key attributes of good communication and customer service skills, enthusiasm and a flexible approach to working, we would be pleased to hear from you. Hours of work vary to the services being run and all posts are based on working any of seven days per week. Pullman work will involve some evening working as well as day times through the season. The following specific posts are available to apply for: Pullman Bar Steward - Working on the Pullman train, dispensing drinks to passengers from the bar and preparing bills for payment along with loading drinks and stock and washing glasses and bar counters. Main station to work from is Grosmont. Pullman Kitchen Assistant - To help with all aspects of cooking and preparing hot and old food on the Pullman Train for the varying services. The post is based from Grosmont Station and the person appointed would act as assistant to the chef in charge and be required to deputise on occasion. The post holder will also help with ensuring the kitchen is kept clean and tidy as well as assist with the washing of pans and utensils. A good standard of personal hygiene is required along with previous catering / cooking experience and a food hygiene certificate. Pullman Dining Steward - Serving passengers on the Pullman train as it travels along the line. The service is a combination of silver and plated. Other duties include serving drinks, clearing tables and washing up. The post is based from Grosmont Station.
