Explore RAF Grosmont, which showcases the importance of the RAF during the WWII. On 1 April 2018, the Royal Air Force will be celebrating its 100th birthday. To mark this occasion, this Railway in Wartime we will have the RAF Battle of Britain MK2 Spitfire on display, plus RAF Plotting Room in operation with demonstrations.

Drum Head Service & Wreath Laying (Car Park)

  • 11:50 Air Training Corps Band Standards (Cadets), Veterans, Re-enactors muster. 
  • 12:15 Parade march off to Drumhead service area in front of RAF Spitfire. 
    • March on the Standards: Redcar Royal British Legion, Naval, Army Regimental and RAF Association Standards. 
    • Drumhead alter to be constructed from the drums of the Air training Corps band. 
    • Draping of Standards on Drumhead Alter.
