Hop on board North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR) on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th July and head back in time to the swinging sixties for a weekend of free 60s Fest themed entertainment.

There’s something for everyone at 60s Fest with each NYMR platform hosting its very own tribute to the sixties. Stop off at Pickering Station on Saturday and enjoy a display of classic vehicles, children’s activities and live music including The Stones, The Swinging Sixties Showband and The Sonics. Dubbed 'The Big Night Out', hosts Minster FM will take centre stage for the evening before musical line-up The Funtime Frankies and Mimik Floyd are all set to be a swinging sensation on Sunday.

Visit Levisham Station and experience The Vox Beatles tribute band, with hit songs from the Cavern Club & Hamburg early days, Beatlemania, Sgt Pepper/Magical Mystery Tour, White Album & Rooftop eras.

Goathland Station will be decked out in individual sixties style with a beer tent and live music across the weekend including Dusty ‘Miss Sixties’ Springfield.

Ensuring the 60s Fest-ival continues all the way along the heritage railway line, Grosmont Station will also have a display of classic vehicles and themed children activities.

Chris Price, NYMR General Manager said: “For 60s Fest we recreate the spirit of this exciting decade which saw momentous change in so many areas. The event is not only well-loved by the staff and volunteers but is perfect for families to go back in time, enjoy live music and travel along our heritage railway line”.
