The ‘Rail Trail’ from Goathland to Grosmont via Beck Hole is a 5.5 km walk along the original horse drawn Stephenson’s line, one of the country’s earliest railways and discover the original 1836 tunnel.

This is a woodland trail walk with uneven and variable ground conditions, participants must be comfortable walking in these conditions. Due to the nature of the walking environment, we regret that pushchairs, wheelchair users and people with reduced mobility are unable to join the guided rail trail walk. This is a Guided Rail Trail Walk only, train travel is not included, if you wish to purchase train travel, please either book online or visit a station Booking Office on the event day.
