The Christmas Moorlander will depart from Grosmont or Pickering (Grosmont pre-Christmas Day and Pickering post-Christmas Day) travelling through the picturesque North York Moors.


Starters
• Prawn cocktail served in a baby gem lettuce heart, with tangy seafood dressing and brown bread and butter
• Chicken liver pate with Cumberland sauce, hot toast and winter leaf salad
• Homemade vegetable broth finished with a splash of dry sherry and served with a cheese croûte
• Crown of melon filled with mandarins, strawberries and pineapple served with a warm rum punch at the table


All served with a Bakers Basket of white or wholemeal bread rolls


Main Course
• Roast turkey breast served with all the Christmas trimmings and cranberry sauce
• Local topside of beef served with homemade Yorkshire pudding, rich red wine and onion gravy
• Baked cod loin served with a rich tomato sauce topped with king prawns
• Stuffed butternut squash with honey roast vegetables and a herb and cheese crumb


Seasonal fresh vegetables and potatoes will accompany your choice of main course


Dessert
• Traditional Christmas pudding served with a homemade brandy cream sauce
• Boozy chocolate brownie trifle topped with cream, fresh fruit and chocolate curls
• Poached conference pear in a spiced red wine, served in a brandy snap basket with an almond cream and a buttery leaf biscuit
• Traditional cheese board including Wensleydale and cranberry, Yorkshire blue and cheddar, served with biscuits,
celery and a glass of port


Fresh brewed Yorkshire Tea or coffee served with hot mince pies and luxury truffles
