Ideal for both business and personal events – whether that’s corporate entertaining, networking events, team away days, birthdays, anniversaries or retirement parties, the Great Western Saloon carriage is available for hire throughout our running season.

Built in 1948, this carriage has two luxurious seating areas with fine furnishings and observation windows for you to admire the fantastic views that the North York Moors has to offer.

     

The Great Western Saloon carriage is available for hire on a Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday lunchtime on various dates between March and November 2024. Each service can accommodate up to 18 guests for the complete package price.

You will receive a return journey from Grosmont to Pickering with on-board buffet, a dedicated member of staff and complimentary mineral water. We can provide a bar onboard offering a small selection of wine, local beers, lagers & soft drinks.

Signalman Buffet: £1595 - Perfect for special celebrations, your dedicated member of staff will be on-hand to welcome you aboard.  During your journey, you'll be served a delicious buffet lunch for up to 18 people, consisting of locally sourced savouries, freshly prepared salads and speciality breads for you to enjoy on your outward journey. On the return journey you'll be tempted by a selection of our favourite desserts, served with tea, coffee and chocolates.

Your charter experience includes:

• A return journey from Grosmont to Pickering on board the Great Western Saloon for up to 18 guests, view the menu.
• A dedicated member of staff to look after your group and assist with catering.

Payment

You will be required to make a 50% Deposit at the point booking, 56 days (8 weeks) prior to your visit date, our Customer Services Team will be in touch for the remainder of your outstanding balance.
