To celebrate the countdown to the opening of its highly-anticipated season on 4th April 2022, the North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR) has collaborated with Yorkshire Post to launch a unique competition featuring an unforgettable prize with a value of over £1000.

The NYMR is offering one lucky Yorkshire Post reader the chance to win: tickets to the heritage railway for up to four people; a Pullman Moorlander Dining experience in a private coupe for four adults; a steam locomotive footplate experience for one; a special NYMR Gift Hamper; and four family tickets to the NYMR Light Spectacular event in October.

This year, passengers can hop on board and experience 24 miles of glorious heritage railway, between Pickering and Whitby, taking in the breathtaking scenery of the North York Moors National Park, including Goathland railway station, known to millions as the filming location for the iconic Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and home to the popular TV series Heartbeat.

How to Enter

To enter, pick up a copy of the Yorkshire Post newspaper, look out for the competition and simply collect three tokens out of a possible four, printed each Saturday between March 5 and March 26. Full entry instructions are included in the paper too.

The competition closing date for entries is midnight on 31st March, and the lucky winner of this prize bundle will be announced on Monday 4th April - the day the NYMR opens its doors for the new season.

Terms and Conditions -

• Entrants for the competition must be 18 years and over.
• An adult is aged 16 years old and above, and a child is aged 3–15 years old
• The winner will be chosen at random by Yorkshire Post.
• Once selected, the winner will be notified on 4th April 2022 and will have 72 hours to claim the prize. Failure to reply to notification within this time period renders the competition void and a replacement winner will be selected and contacted.
• The winner will be contacted via email/phone.
• The prize for the one winner is:

- Four tickets to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway
- Lunch on the Pullman Moorlander Dining Train in a private coupe for four adults including drinks package
- Special NYMR Gift Hamper
- Footplate experience for 1 (over 16s only)
