18th February - 26th February 2017

Enjoy a fun-packed, full day out along the North Yorkshire Moors Railway this half term where you can see Hogsmeade Station at Goathland, take spectacular family walks at Levisham and view the railway's engine sheds at Grosmont.

Why we love it

  • Visit Pickering and explore the historic market town which has lots to offer including the 13th century castle and Beck Isle Museum where you can discover the heritage, history and culture of life in Pickering.
  • Explore Levisham Station and enjoy the views as the train "winds its way through the breath-taking landscape of Yorkshire" (The Daily Telegraph).
  • A must-see is the celebrity station which became Hogsmeade Station in the first Harry Potter film and featured as Aidensfield in the ITV programme Heartbeat.
  • Explore Grosmont Station which is home to the operating and engineering world of the railway. Here you will find the engine sheds where our steam and diesel locomotives are maintained and restored.
