Visit What's On Carriage & Wagon Tour with Lift Demonstration 9 & 11 September 2024 Take a short tour of our Carriage workshop in Pickering with one of our volunteers. The tour will explain what is involved in carrying out routine heritage carriage maintenance right through to full overhauls. Certain heritage rail vehicles will also be on display as well as a demonstration of lifting a coach off its bogies. Tour Suitability: Families (Children 10+ Years Old) & Adults. Unfortunately, wheelchair users cannot be accommodated. Consequently, Participants must be reasonably fit, agile and over 10 years old. Unfortunately, due to the working environment of the Carriage & Wagon building wheelchair users cannot be accommodated. No pets are allowed on the tour including guide dogs/assistance dogs due to safety reasons. Participants will need to wear suitable clothing and footwear.
