Spring Steam Gala Latest
The 3rd and final weekend (14-16 May) is expected to see the eagerly awaited return of The Sir Nigel Gresley Preservation Society’s, and Grosmont NYMR resident, A4 4-6-2 No 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley. This is also your chance to catch up with other engines missed from the first two weekends, including S & D 7F 2-8-0 No 53809 and NYMR’s recently overhauled LMS Black 5 No 45428 Eric Treacy expected to be working passenger trains for the first time this week. This will also be the last weekend for visiting Great Northern Railway N2 0-6-2t No 1744 before the engine leaves NYMR.
Details of locomotive and stock allocations to trains will be available on the day, and can be purchased at 50p per day ‘s timetable, or £1 for a weekend (3 or 4 days as appropriate) from NYMR stations or Customer Services at Pickering (issued free for the day of travel to purchasers of Day Rover and multi-day tickets).
Please remember that if you keep your Day or Multi-day Rover ticket purchased for this Gala, you can obtain a £5.00 discount for a second visit on this weekend or any other Steam (or Diesel) Gala day in 2010.

Locomotive Allocations
SPECIAL NOTICE
The loco allocations for the second weekend of the Gala have been updated based on anticipated availability today, Wednesday 05 May. In particular it is hoped that S & D 2-8-0 No 53809 and newly overhauled LMS BLack 5 No 45428 Eric Treacy will enter passenger service this weekend. This should mean up to 7 engines in use over the weekend. Subsequent weekends timetables will follow as soon as more information is available. Due to the late changes in loco availability, we will not be selling a brochure for this event. Details of Locomotive allocations to each train will be available on the day of travel free of charge to passengers purchasing Day and Multi Day Rover tickets. These will also be available for sale at stations and from Customer Services, Pickering Station at a charge of 50p per day / £1 per weekend.
