The perfect Christmas treat
Join Santa and his special helpers for some festive fun this Christmas at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, with the Santa Express shuttle service departing Pickering, Grosmont and Whitby stations.
Perfect for families with young children, embark on this magical adventure on-board the Santa Express to meet Santa in his Grotto on-board the train. What better way to start the festive season?
Ticket price includes return travel, a present for each child, a scrumptious mince pie for everyone, warming hot drinks, juice for the children and adults can enjoy a complimentary alcoholic tipple.
Please note that dogs are not allowed on our Santa services, these services get very busy and loud and can be frightening places for dogs, thank you for your understanding.

Booking
We will open our Santa Service booking closer to the end of 2013. Please keep an eye on the web site or join our newsletter and we will let you know when they are available to book.
Santa Special Photos
Arrival at our stations and Parking
Please arrive at least 20 minutes before the departure time shown on your ticket to allow sufficient time for parking.
We operate pay & display parking at our stations. For satellite navigation systems, the postcode for Pickering Station is YO18 7AJ and for Grosmont YO22 5QE.
Accessibility
Pushchair/buggy space is very limited, so please leave it in the car if you can!
Refreshments
At Pickering Station these will be served in the Learning Centre on Platform 2.
At Grosmont Station these will be served in the Marquee on Platform 2.
At Whitby all refreshments will be served on-board the Santa Express.
*Please note that at Whitby Station there are no toilets on the platform.The nearest toilets are directly outside the station and there is a charge payable to Scarborough Borough Council. Toilets are available on-board the train that can be used once it has left the station.
