The Foot Parade is held on the Saturday of Wartime Weekend in Pickering. It is to commemorate the Parade that was organised by the Colonel of the Welsh Guards who had been training in the Pickering Area preceding D. Day. When the troops left in 1944 to become part of the greatest seaborne assault in history, they paraded through the town to say thank you to the residents for making them welcome during a difficult period.

There are no vehicle parades this year, instead we will have static displays along Market Place and Park Street.
