Education is at the forefront of our aims and aspirations therefore, we place learning, interpretation and community engagement at the heart of everything we do.
Our learning opportunities are both immersive and interactive, having been developed in collaboration with schools and community groups to ensure our offer is relevant and accessible. Our offer for 2024 keeps accessibility in mind as under 16s travel free, and over 16s travel for £25 in a 1:10 child to adult ratio.
All workshops and self-led activities are free of charge, you just need to book. Please complete our booking enquiry form and we will be in touch shortly.
Our new Goathland Education Coach and workshops are part of the Yorkshire’s Magnificent Journey project, funded by Heritage Lottery Fund to develop our learning programme with local organisations and communities as part of the our charitable aims.

We have a range of learning activities in our new Learning Coach permanently sited at Goathland Station. These cross-curricular workshops give pupils the opportunity to handle artefacts from the NYMR’s accredited museum and are suitable for a maximum of 30 pupils per workshop. Read more
