Tasty tea rooms

“My husband thinks your pasties are smashing” is just one of the many memorable accolades bestowed by visitors who have sampled our tearooms along the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.

That’s because we strive to give you the very best that Yorkshire has to offer. From home-made scones baked on the premises mid-morning, and served (if you like) with home-made jam and cream, through to tasty treats, including home-made pastries, puddings and pies. We can offer you a complete hot meal, or for those with smaller appetites, light salads, locally sourced fruit and other tasty alternatives.

Many visitors to the Railway find our tearooms a welcome respite. Somewhere to take a moment, enjoy a cup of tea and take in the sounds and smells of our wonderful railway.

Tearooms can be found on Pickering, Grosmont and Goathland stations. At Levisham, you’ll find refreshments served during the main season from both the Weighbridge, by the station car park, as well as from the Tea Hut by the paddock area.

There’s plenty of choice and you can take your time. It’s all part of the NYMR experience.
