Why not see what happens behind the scenes at the locomotive sheds in Grosmont. Each tour will cover aspects of the work of the Motive Power Depot and includes a tour of the site.

There will also be some opportunity to take photographs of the locomotives and work being done. Head along the foot tunnel to the Motive Power Depot, Grosmont, and visit the Shed Shop.

Shed Tours start at 1.30 pm and last for a minimum of two hours.

Shed Tours are £15 per Adult (16+) and FREE for Children (10-15).

Please note:

• The Motive Power Depot is a potentially hazardous working environment. Consequently, participants must be reasonably fit, agile and over 10 years old.
• Unfortunately due to the working environment of the Motive Power Depot wheelchair users cannot be accommodated.
• No pets are allowed on the tour including guide dogs/assistance dogs due to safety reasons.
• Participants will need to wear suitable clothing and footwear.
• Prior to the tour setting off, please meet in the Shed Shop and then the tour will commence at the foot of the stairs.
